Amazon Out of Stock: Opportunity or Duplicate?

Sometimes, your search might uncover an item that’s out of stock on Amazon. Sounds like a great find, right? You could order the product and have an exclusive spot in Amazon’s Buy Box!

But, not so fast. It’s also possible you’ve stumbled on a duplicate listing, an out-of-stock ASIN that has an identical, fully stocked version under a different ASIN.

To see if you’ve found a hidden gem or just a duplicate, try a quick title search on Amazon. You might spot the same product with a slightly different name. Or you could confirm it’s an ASIN with a solid sales history, recently out of stock, and ready for you to replenish. For users looking to explore these types of opportunities, we suggest this setup in the Other Filters panel:

Toggle ON the first switch to include Amazon out-of-stock items.

Toggle OFF the second switch. This is for specialized searches.
