Amazon keeps the FBA dimension & weight changes hidden. Bindwise Monitoring looks for changes in your item dimensions or weights affecting any FBA fees (fulfilment fee, storage fee, pick & pack fee, weight handling fee, EFN fulfilment fee). This provides a quick way to prevent incorrect FBA fees.
Enable monitoring
- Visit your Bindwise account
- Turn on a toggle next to FBA fee changes
At this point, Bindwise starts tracking your items. You don't need to enter any SKUs or ASINs manually. As soon as there will be any change in dimensions or weights affecting your fees you'll receive an alert.
Request cubiscan from Amazon
When any FBA fee increases, it's in your interest to ensure that a new fee is correct. Amazon might generally increase its service fees from time to time or you might upgrade your packaging to a larger size, resulting in higher fees. However, often FBA fees go up due to the erroneous measurements of your items performed by Amazon. In this case, you should request Amazon to re-measure your item or so-called cubiscan.
When you receive a Bindwise Alert stating that your FBA fee increased:
- Log into your Amazon Seller Central account
- Open a case with Amazon Seller Support with a subject line Cubiscan
- You'll have to provide old dimensions and weights, which can be found in the Bindwise alert
Note, you'll have to open a case with Amazon manually because it's forbidden by the Amazon ToS to do it automatically with any service.
Request reimbursement from Amazon
When any fee goes down, you'll have an option directly from the Bindwise Alert to request a list of orders which were affected by previously incorrect fees.
- In a Bindwise alert, click Get list of orders
- After a few minutes, you'll receive a 2nd email containing a file with affected orders
- Visit Amazon Seller Central and open a case to request reimbursement and submit the list directly
